This site provides information to current and prospective graduate students interested in Plant Biology. The Plant Biology group at the University of South Carolina is internationally recognized for excellence in many areas of plant biology, spanning the molecular, cellular, organismal and ecosystem levels. Members of the Plant Biology group include leaders in the most rapidly growing fields in Plant Science, ranging from molecular signaling in stress response and flower development to small RNA biology and post-transcriptional gene silencing, metal ion uptake, phytoplankton photosynthesis and aquatic primary production, phytoremediation, biomass production and nanotechnology.
