Copepods are maxillopodan crustaceans. Currently, there are 10 orders of copepods (Huys & Boxshall 1991).

News and Meetings

Copepodologists communicate through the copepod newsletter Monoculus and they hold a meeting every three years. Next meeting (the Seventh International Conference on Copepoda) is in Curitiba, Brazil, 1999. Information considering registration, submision of abstracts, travel instructions and other related matters will be available soon.
