The Barry Goldwater Scholarship is the most prestigious undergraduate scholarship in the natural sciences, mathematics, and engineering in America.

Kevin Field
Field of Study: Life Sciences [BIOL]

Career Goal: I aim to earn an M.D./Ph.D. in Cellular Biology. My goal is to conduct clinical and lab-based research on immunology and teach at a medical school.

Mara Cowen
Field of Study: Life Sciences

Career Goal: My goal is to pursue a Ph.D. in developmental neuroscience. I plan to conduct research on the cellular mechanisms of neurodevelopmental disorders, specifically autism spectrum disorders (ASD).

Kayla Gardner

Field of Study: Life Sciences [MSCI, with minors in CHEM and MATH]

Career Goal: Ph.D. in Biological Oceanography. Conduct research in phytoplankton ecology and teach at the university level.
