Connecting to Biology Server

Note: Use your biology email username and password to access the web space

Mac OS 9

1. Open Network Browser from apple menu

2. Select "Connect to Server" [Shown in Picture below]

3: In "Connect to Server" window type 129.252.89.33 and hit "Connect"

4. Type Name: and Password: and hit to Connect [Shown in Picture below]

5. Your file space will be mounted on to the desktop. Double click it to open.

6. Files placed inside the www folder in your web space will be available at www.biol.sc.edu/~username

Mac OS X

1. Hit " +  k"

2. In "Connect to Server" window type "smb://129.252.89.33/username" in "Address:" field and hit "Connect" [Shown in Picture below]

3.  Type username:  and password to log on to the server [Shown in Picture below]

4. Your file space will be mounted on to the desktop as a white color icon. Double click it to open.

5. Files placed inside the www folder in your web space will be available at www.biol.sc.edu/~username
