Core Tube Extruder
This device is used to extrude sediment from cores with a resolution of 1 mm. One turn of the threaded metric rod is equal to a distance of one millimeter. Thus sampling intervals can be precisely determined by counting the number of turns. A single-edge razor blade is used to remove the extruded sediment.
