General Notes

1. Revisions and redescriptions.

As the genus Tisbe has been shown by Volkmann-Rocco and others to contain sibling species accurate identification to species is difficult.

Volkmann-Rocco (1973) discusses the validity of records attributed to Tisbe gracilis.

Yeatman (1963) redescribes Tisbella pulchella.

2. Synonymies.

Scutellopsis a synonym of Scutellidium, by Pallares (1969).

Tisbe helgolandica a synonym of T. holothuriae, by Volkmann-Rocco (1971).

Paraidya a synonym of Tisbe, by Lang (1965); Humes & Ho (1969b) refute this view.
